As a big music listener and avid record collector, having my art on album covers is always special. This one is for guitarr legend Snowy White and his upcoming album "The Situation".
I was recently asked to write a "How To" on one of my pictures for Phlearn.com. You can find the article here:
Phlearn: How Visual Artist Tommy Ingberg Turned a Real Man into a Puppet
Last year was a special year for me. In the first months I experienced my worst periods of anxiety and depression in a long time. Fortunately, I was able to get great professional help and made significant improvements during the year; going from crippling anxiety attacks to getting up on stage and doing a talk in front of hundreds of people at the Bielsko-Biala Foto Art Festival in November. Looking back at that time, and at the progress I’ve made since, I feel that this truly was a defining moment for me. And from that feeling came the inspiration for my next series of pictures.
Just like before, the theme is still my own inner life, thoughts and feelings; but from a different perspective. The most obvious difference is that these pictures are in color, but as the series grows, I hope that other, more subtle, differences will become clear.
Below are the first four works in the series.
I am very happy to once again be able to help Heads Up Guy with their campaign for Men’s Health Week. Men’s mental health is an important but often overlooked part of #MensHealthWeek, and an issue I care deeply for.
Please check out the campaign at https://headsupguys.org/together-we-can/, and take a moment to check out the rest of the site, it's a wonderful and important resource for those who are, or those close to someone who is, struggling with depression.
